Spa Day / Meanderers

As a duo, Kjetil Brandsdal (Noxagt, Ultralyd, No Balls) and Thore Warland (Staer, Golden Oriole, Tørrfall, Plan Affine) have released a series of 5 albums where they have processed a wide range of source material from musical history.

In HEBBEX D’EXPECTATIO EXPECTATA they continue this work and are now flanked by Helge Thornes, who has a background in dancehall and psychobilly (Troubletone Soundsystem, HBX Crew, Oransjt Mareritt). The lyrics discuss Aubrey Beardsley’s unfinished novels, Roman tragedies and Norwegian newspaper journalism.

Spa Day is their first release and gives the listener a taste of the upcoming Kva er Vald LP (due March 2026). The B-side, Meanderers (also on the Kva er Vald LP), is an exclusive instrumental version recorded before the forming of the trio.
