Man Eating Tree

MAN EATING TREE is the first solo album by Belgian-born, Oslo-based pianist Jonas Cambien, heavy loaded with prepared piano and repetitive, trance-inducing rhytmic patterns. Drawing from Cambiens diverse musical background in contemporary music, improvised music and free-jazz, as well as his work with the Egyptian trio The Handover, the album consists of four tracks influenced by Ligeti, Steve Reich, Terry Riley, and Alice Coltrane.
