Info:

Gunerius & Verdensveven are a boundary-pushing Norwegian band blending dance-punk, free jazz, and psychedelic pop into a raw, genre-defying kind of “outsider” party music.

“I see a light in the darkest,” says Gunerius—and that tension runs through Hade livet! (Bye bye life!), a record that feels like both a celebration and a beautiful collapse. It’s a love letter to life, to music, and to everyone who’s ever felt slightly out of place.

Picking up where Fantasmagorˈi (2024) left off, Gunerius & Verdensveven dive deeper into their anything-goes universe. Across ten tracks, they crash dance-punk into free jazz, drift through soul and bossa nova, lock into krautrock grooves, and resurface somewhere near pop—but always just outside the club, doing things their own way. Call it party music™ if you want—but this is the strange, distinctly Norwegian version.

The sound is raw and psychedelic: homemade instruments, microtonal twists, Norwegian lyrics, and a relentless four-on-the-floor (or is it five?) pulse, all driven by a power trio that keeps everything grounded while the edges fray and expand. It’s hypnotic, unpredictable, and weirdly addictive.

This isn’t just music—it’s a party in your subconscious. And you’re already on the guest list.
